If you have always wanted to meet a Roman, now is your chance! As part of Open Doors 2011, St Mary's Church, Caerhun in North Wales is hosting a Roman day. Meet a Roman (he’s authentic if anyone asks!), try on costumes, browse the artefacts. Our exhibition will help you find out what life was like in the Canovium Fort, an auxiliary Roman Fort on the site where the church now stands. Children are welcome to come and have some fun with our Roman activities and find out about life as a Roman soldier!
